MEET BINYAMIN
Binyamin's teachers describe his impeccable character at heights that, for such a young boy, are difficult to comprehend, his unusual awareness of right and wrong at a very young age, and the refined way he interacted with others and articulated himself that were beyond his years. In his quiet way, Binyamin made an extraordinary imprint on his family, friends, classmates, school, and community. Binyamin’s life in this world was tragically short, yet his impact grows stronger every day.

Since his passing, we -- his mom and dad -- have launched two successful school-based initiatives – Binyamin’s Buddy Bench Project and the Achim Afterschool Mentoring Program – both under the auspices of our nonprofit, The Binyamin Chai Project.

The feedback we've received has far surpassed our expectations. We imagine that Binyamin is happy to be the catalyst for so much joy and kindness.
Binyamin's Song
Inspired by Binyamin's life and the impact of his passing, Binyamin's principal at the Clifton Cheder, Rabbi Yosef Seldowitz, wrote the lyrics to this stirring song. His 4th grade rebbe, Rabbi Elchanan Erlanger sings it, and Zelig Privalsky produced and arranged it. (Original song by Mendy Wald.) The song debuted at the welcome celebration for the Torah scroll written in Binyamin's memory on his first yahrzeit in June 2022. Binyamin loved Jewish music and sang in the school choir.
